President’s Cup / Trophy

April through August/September

Everyone will start in the President’s Cup bracket. After a loss, players will move into the Trophy bracket. If you lose in the Trophy bracket, that will be the end of your matches.

 

Matches will begin in April. Players will have two weeks to complete first-round matches, and then each following round will also have a two-week window. The total timeline will be finalized once we know how many players are participating, so the event could run into September if we have a strong turnout.

• First Round: April 15 – April 29

• Second Round: April 30 – May 13

• Additional rounds will follow the same two-week format until we reach the Championship Matches.

Players may choose which tees they play from each round (Copper or Copper/Silver). Opponents may choose different tees if they prefer. Handicaps used will be the handicap on the day of the match.

​

For this year’s matches, we will be using the updated stroke indexes developed from hundreds of scores to better reflect hole difficulty for the Copper/Silver tees. The Copper tees will continue using the current stroke indexes. Special scorecards will be printed for all matches.

If the two players scheduled for a match cannot agree on a time or date to play, please contact the Tournament Chair, who will determine when the match must be played. If one player does not show, they will forfeit the match. If both players fail to show, a coin flip will determine the winner.

Participation Cost: $20 per player The Men’s Club will add $350 to the prize fund.
