Minutes from November 12th, 2025, were approved by the Board.

Treasurer Bill Schless announced that as of 1/12/2026 the bank balance was $10664.44.  This balance reflects pre-GHIN payments of $42/member to WA Golf.  We had 130 members paid as of 1/9/2026.

Wa Golf Representative Don Flores has done a fantastic job on the Men’s Club Web site.  He encourages all members to visit the site.  Information on Rules, Handicaps, Hole in one and age shooters is now or will be available going forward.

President Russ Veenema discussed the 3-man scramble to be held on February 25th.  It will be a full course shotgun event.  He also had a concern about including in the Minutes information about club members passing without getting consent from family members.  We will discuss further in the future.  Golf genius training is being conducted for those interested in learning the process.  Russ also wanted to discuss whether or not we should continue to hold a Memorial tournament in past members names, particularly Randy Gange Memorial.  We will address it at the next meeting as well as at the Annual Meeting.

Guest Garrett Smithson announced that the bunkers will be receiving attention soon.

Competition Chairman Richard Clendening discussed Majors and funds allocated for 2026.  As well as signature annual events.

Vice President Ray Ballantyne discussed the age shooter and hole in one award to be presented at the Annual Meeting.  He asked that the membership be sure to fill out the paperwork in the pro shop in order to get recognition.

Team Captain Robert Bourns talked about events that could be played at other area courses when Cedars is closed to the membership for any number of reasons.  Tournaments, upkeep, etc.

The Board decided with a unanimous decision to hold Board Meetings every other month going forward with the possibility of a special meeting being held in the event of a pressing need to meet otherwise.  Next meeting will be held on March 11, 2026, at 2pm.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:04 pm

Golf is a game invented by God to punish people who retire early.  My golf game is so bad I had to buy a ball retriever for my backyard.
