Ground Under Repair (GUR) decisions:

The Rules Committee (Harry Phillips, Garrett Smithson, and Richard Clendening Sr.) met today to discuss golf course conditions that should be considered Ground Under Repair (GUR). Below are the committee’s decisions:

  1. The irrigation repair areas where irrigation lines were installed are now two years old and will be played as they lie with no relief granted.

  2. Areas where multiple trees have been removed — such as between holes #15 and #16 near the #15 Silver Tee Box — will be considered GUR and will be marked accordingly.

  3. If you're in an area that you think should be ground under repair and it's not marked, declare you're playing the two-ball rule. Play two balls and after the round report this to the committee. Then we'll decide if relief should be granted. Please read the rule so you understand this process. Two Ball Rule USGA Rule 21c3

  4. Going forward, we will be marking areas of the course that the committee considers GUR. Examples include the left side of #10 where multiple trees have been removed, and the right side of #9 where there are currently not enough OB stakes to clearly and fairly define out-of-bounds areas.

  5. For all newly poured concrete cart paths, if your ball lies within one club length (excluding the putter), you may take relief under Ground Under Repair.
